It also features a single integrated LED light to illuminate the work area. The design also features a jobsite-tested shock-absorbent handle to protect the battery housing for extra durability, and a quick-change 7/16″ hex chuck allows for fast bit changes. At 10-3/4″ long and 7.8 pounds, the XWT01 isn’t exactly compact or lightweight, but given the power, it’s a true bargain for those looking to cut the cord.

The new Makita XWT01 7/16″ hex impact wrench is, as you’d guess, powered by Makita’s 18V LXT Lithium-ion battery and uses the Rapid Optimum Charger which will quickly charge an 18V 3.0 amp-hour Li-ion battery in only 30 minutes. Makita’s claims their 18V Lithium-ion battery delivers 3X more cycles over their previous models – all of which translates into long-term reliability for this tool.
