6 1/2″ is the blade size on pretty much every plunge cut track saw on the market. I’m quite sure there are more reasons than one tool manufacturers don’t go above that blade size. Festool’s plunge cut track saw technically has a blade size of 6 1/4″.

That $100 difference for a festool that includes track doesn’t include a charger or battery (s) though either. Even with already owning Milwaukee tools and having a charger and other M18 batteries it’s still a deal if you don’t already have a 6.0 mAh battery. I don’t see the track for Milwaukee’s costing more than $100, in my opinion anyway. I could end up being wrong on that too, I’ll find out soon enough.

I’ve only seen 2 companies make a tracksaw bigger than 6 1/2″. Mafell and festool. But you obviously sound like you have no clue what a tracksaw is even used for. Otherwise you would know that. This tool isn’t for you. Stick to your “manly” 7 ¼ circular saw lmfao
