Wayyyyy better than my cordless 7 1/4 skil, too heavy in the ass end and nothing like the feel of a corded mag77. I used it 1 day on the job and a couple times at my house. Almost brand new, hit me up if anybody wanna buy it.

Actually the Metabo HPT is the most powerful of all. It’s in the review up there.↑ See?
But do share if there’s a more trustworthy review out there saying the DeWalt is way more powerful.

That’s definitely a great saw.

It’s lightweight, it’s the easiest to use when trying to make a freehand accurate cut, it’s lightweight, and it’s lightweight. ; ) If I need more power I’m using a chop saw or busting out my corded, left facing worm drive skil saw.

Your asking the wrong group. You should be posting on some forum or contact skill. This in an online magazine with on the best new circular saws not tech support for older saws. I’m sure you are talk about an older skilsaw since I highly doubt you would find the new worm drive saw at a thrift store. If you did tell me where I need to see what other new tools they carry.

I have used the DeWalt rear handle a lot. Also the not included in the test, Hilti rear handle. Both will cut oak. I have cut oak dunnage with the DeWalt several times, no problem as long as you are using a good blade. I would imagine the Milwaukee rear handle, Makita rear handle an the Metabo HPT would also be fine. Blade choice will probably make the most difference. The brushless motors have plenty of power. The DeWalt rear handle is a bit awkward compared to the Hilti, Milwaukee and Makita rear handle saws. (Hilti having the best ergonomics). If you are making a lot of rips, you will burn through the batteries fairly quick but you can make a lot of cuts.

I have enjoyed the performance of my brushless 7 1/4″ Ryobi P508, with 9AH battery for over a year now & most recently finished a siding job cutting concrete board with it!! As most of my small power tools are 18volt Ryobi, due to my desire for maximum bang for the buck, it would have Only been interesting to see a comparison with Ryobi vs those more expensive cordless circular saws…..

‘Lightest’ or ‘fastest’ could mean 10% delta or 100% delta.
