Had the Bosch 12’ axial glide but sent it back because of it’s instability and movement of its blade when making extended vertical cuts. It also had no shadow light for the blade. A must have for a lot of people. In its place I purchased the Delta 12’ cruzer. It’s very stable, no movement from the blade when making extended vertical cuts, and it has a led shadow light for the blade!! True champion, in my opinion.

Good article. I had also been looking at the delta cruzer 12 inch? I have heard some are concerned with the quality of Delta but I had heard they were sold to a company that is really investing in bringing back that quality they used to have. Thanks for the help

They were only reviewing 12″ saws and Festool does not make a 12″ saw, otherwise it might have “made the cut”.

I Have a Hercules 12inch and use everyday Triming and It have no issues with It so far I Have It had for a year.Crown,base ect. I have been A finish Carpenter for 30Years

the festool slider, in my opinion, isnt as good as the XLS06 (i think thats the model) and i am speaking from experiance

It’s basically a DeWalt DWS779 which you can get for ~$40 more with the benefit of a 3-year warranty, 1-year free service, and 90-day money-back guarantee. That DeWalt is a decent saw, but it’s not one of our favorites.

I am surprised Hercules 12″ miter wasnt mentioned. Was $300 and is comparable if not better than all except the Bosch or Delta Cruzer. And this is from someone who typically refuses to buy Harbor Freight tools.
