That’s the “Zero” point. So rotating away from the ‘P’ sets your planing depth.

How old is this review? This tool seems to be discontinued. Only a couple places still sell it and Lowes sells the PC60THP model. I believe the K at the end of this model represents the KIT, which is a fence, replacement blades, replacement belt and brushes, along with a blow molded case. The other comes in a bag… IS there a substitute make and model anyone would recommend that has similar features?
