Fasco has come out with the F58AC RHN20-90 SCR SS/CT. This strip nailer features the ability to handle three 20 degree fastener types including Plastic Strip SCRAIL (for both fine and course threads), BeckDeck double threaded SCRAIL, and Plastic Strip Collated Concrete Pins.
The Fasco F58AC has a patent pending magazine design that has two insertion points with top and side loading as well as a complete magazine release system that Fasco claims will make jam clearing easier. Given what we know of these types of magazines, we’d say that’s a safe bet. The Bosch SN350-20F framing nailer we reviewed a while back has a similar design and we actually prefer that to any of the methods requiring you to pull out the ole’ Allen wrench.
Additional safety features on the Fasco F58AC RHN20-90 include a dry fire prevention lock out device, plastic protection to shield against wood chips and splinters, and an included sequential fire/bump fire (single shot/contact trip) device. Fasco also tells us that their patent pending design offers good ergonomics and excellent tool balance. From the looks of it, we’d have to agree. About the only thing we don’t like about this new nailer is the name. It’s like Fasco wanted to get the entire alphabet in there. It’s a strip nailer, folks, not a 32-bit encrypted security code…
The Fasco F58AC RHN20-90 SCR SS/CT strip nailer is available from Fasco America’s website.
It is a long model code indeed:) . It letter & number has a meaning:)
