Rockler Woodworking has some innovative features, but this is one we hadn’t even heard of before – a Trim Router Table. Rockler seems to have outdone itself and merged the convenience of a trim (compact) router, with the stability of a mini-sized router table. Pre-drilled holes on the backside of the table let you attach a clamping strip so that the Trim Router Table can be clamped onto any horizontal surface. In this way you can hitch up the Rockler Trim Router Table to a table, a bench, or even the tailgate of a pickup truck. To facilitate the attachment of common trim routers, the table comes with a 1/4″ thick acrylic base pre-drilled to provide a stable connection to the table. The adjustable fence is also pre-drilled to accept the Rockler Router Table Dust Port (21528, which is sold separately)
Rockler Trim Router Table Features
As is typical for Rockler, the Router Trim Table is adept at allowing for multi-purpose use. For example, the router can be detached in seconds from the table to be used in a standalone fashion and handheld use – with the acrylic base serving as a wide, level base. Then, in just a few seconds, you can mount your compact router back onto the Trim Router Table. Using the table, jobs like routing round overs, chamfers, and small dadoes are a cakewalk. The compact Trim Router Table is made of vinyl-wrapped 3/4″ MDF (medium density fiberboard) and measures just 11-1/2″ wide x 15-1/2″ deep. You really can place it just about anywhere.
The Rockler Trim Router Table (43550) retails for $59.99. It is available at Rockler Woodworking and Hardware stores nationwide, Rockler’s independent resellers, Rockler.com, or in the Rockler catalog.
