With a new trend in sub compact power tools, many manufacturers are coming out with these tiny tool sets. Don’t let the small size of the Makita LCT203W 10.8-volt Combo Kit fool you because it packs a pretty big punch. With the Li-ion batteries, small size, ample power, and new motor technology, these types of tools are evolving into a new generation of pocket rockets.

Each of the tools in the Makita LCT203W 10.8-volt combo kit weighs less then two pounds but have similar power to their much larger brothers. The DF030D Driver Drill has 18 torque setting delivers up to 200 in lbs of torque and has an integrated 1/4 inch quick change chuck much like an impact driver. The TD090D Impact Driver generates up to 800 in lbs of torque and is super compact so it should fit into the tightest of spaces.  This particular combo set includes two 10.8 Li-Ion batteries, rapid charger and a heavy duty aluminum sided storage case. It will be interesting to see what other tools Makita will add to this battery size in the future.

Can you tell what is the discharge rate/ consumption rate of these tools? Ideally what is the amperage of the motors say working and no load? Thanks
