Feature Set

The Klein Rechargeable Bluetooth Speaker connects wirelessly up to 32 ft away from your phone or tablet. You also have the option to connect through the 3.5mm auxiliary input with the included aux cable. It also includes a speakerphone function to let you make hands-free phone calls, and its both iPhone and Android compatible.

This speaker also includes a variety of mounting options. It has a strap that you can use to secure it to conduit, handles, bags, or even your belt. A magnet in the strap lets you stick the speaker to any ferrous surface as well. It even has an integrated nail hole for wall mounting on the construction site.

The rechargeable battery will give you ten hours of runtime that’s helped out by Klein’s implementation of an energy-saving feature. After ten minutes of inactivity, the Rechargeable Bluetooth Speaker will shut itself off. An LED light indicates your current battery level, as well as informing you of its connection status.

Design Improvements

Up to this point, the AEPJS2 Klein Rechargeable Bluetooth Speaker looks nearly identical to its predecessor, the AEPJS1. Where Klein has made improvements is largely in the tool’s footprint. This model, though a bit larger in its height and length, slims down considerably. It maintains the same weight profile at 9.5 oz, but the shallower build means that it’s less obtrusive.

Klein beefed up this edition a bit. The previous iteration of this speaker only featured two meters of drop protection, but the AEPJS2 has that extended all the way to three. It also carries an IP54 rating, so you don’t need to worry too much about wet or dusty conditions.

Pricing

The new Klein Rechargeable Bluetooth Speaker will retail for $39.99 when it becomes widely available toward the end of the month. This is what the older AEPJS1 sells for as well, so if you can hold out for a couple of weeks, you’ll spend the same money on a slightly better product. Both editions come with Klein’s 1-year warranty.
