Bosch Digital Levels Make Jobsite Angles Easier to Define
Most levels can only tell you if what you’re working on is level. A few have multi-line vials that can help you find a slope to a certain degree. Let me level with you (I couldn’t help myself) – if you’re working with slopes, reading angled bubbles is a far cry from efficient when you can reach for one of the new Bosch Digital Levels.
The new levels feature accuracy that’s +/- 0.05 degrees. Measurements can be switched between degrees, percentages, imperial, and metric units. The display is illuminated and can run up to 80 hours on standard alkaline batteries. You can hold or save a measurement that needs to be consistently applied. Arrows and an audible signal will help to get back to that slope when you need it. The display values will automatically rotate as the angle changes.
The levels are IP54 rated against debris and moisture ingress. Field calibrations can be completed on site to ensure that you’re getting the accurate feedback you expect from the tool.
Bosch Digital Levels come in two lengths. The 24″ GIM 60 is targeted toward installers and finish carpenters. The 48″ GIM 120 features a longer length more suited to installers, carpenters, electricians, and framers. Traditional framing and installation applications only scratch the surface with the digital capability coming in where slopes are used, such as ADA compliant ramps.
