Greenworks Snow Blower: Which Model is Right For You?

So you’ve settled on a Greenworks snow blower, or maybe you’ve put them on your shortlist and want to take a closer look at the line. With more than a dozen to choose from, which one should you buy?

Our team of experts did the homework for you. Whether you’re looking for a Greenworks cordless snow blower or a corded electric model, our goal is to help you narrow down the field by offering our top recommendations.

Greenworks Commercial 82V Dual Stage Snow Blower: Best of the Best

The top-of-the-line for Greenworks unsurprisingly comes from the 82V Commercial series. The Dual Stage snow blower (or snow thrower) has a 24-inch clearing width, can handle up to 20 inches of snow depth, can throw up to 50 feet, and has power equivalent to a 253cc gas engine. Thanks to three active battery ports, you can have the runtime onboard to clear more than 3000 square feet.

But that’s not all by a long shot. This is a ZTS, meaning that it’s self-propelled and has a zero turning radius. Plus you get three forward speeds along with a reverse speed. With such a muscular build, it’s really helpful when you’re clearing larger or longer areas and you’re wasting effort turning the machine around.

Keep in mind that as part of the Commercial series, this snow blower is built to handle professional applications. Here are some more details:

  • Brushless motor
  • Independent hub wheel motor with traction control
  • 15 x 5-inch tires
  • Adjustable drift cutters
  • Non-marring skid shoes
  • Top-mounted LED headlights
  • Adjustable chute direction
  • 14-gauge steel intake
  • 12-gauge steel auger
  • Steel shave plate

This isn’t a cheap snow blower and the bare tool runs $1299.99. From there, you can choose the battery and charger loadout you want.

Do you know why the 60v dual stage doesn’t show up on the Greenworks website? You would think they would want to market this with snow season approaching.

Greg

According to a graphic on the Greenworks page for that top of the line 82v snow blower, the initial investment for the tool, (2) 8Ah batteries, and (2) Dual Port chargers is supposed to be $1770. However, putting all those items in the cart on the Greenworks webpage, came out to be $2575.95, that’s before taxes or shipping. I think their calculations have gone awry.

Purchased 80V Snow Blower, about four years ago. Had to get new battery two years ago. Now the battery is at full charge, bur blower only goes about 8 inches in fresh snow, 5″, then DIES, have to restart, go 8 inches and Dies. Snow is light and easy to move, except the blower does not do its job. Outside temperature is – 16 degrees C. Please advise what the problem and the solution for this issue.
