Worx 40V Snow Blower Ditches Gas-Powered and Corded Hassles
According to Worx, the 40V Power Share Snow Blower is lighter and easier to use than both gas-powered and corded snow blowers on the market. With their battery-powered model, you get plenty of power without the hard start-ups and emissions of gas power or the hassle of keeping up with the extension cord that corded power requires. With the Worx model, clearing snow is as simple as pressing down the lock-off button, pulling back the bail handle, and getting to work.
What’s the Big Deal?
The Worx 40V Snow Blower operates on the Power Share battery platform. The cool thing about this particular platform is that this 40V tool uses the same 20V batteries that power a variety of Worx 20V, 40V, and 80V power tools and outdoor power equipment. In this case, two 20V Power Share batteries combine to provide the snow blower with 40V of power.
Worx has also designed the 40V Snow Blower with a brushless motor that the brand claims runs 50% longer while providing 25% more power than a brushed motor. This single stage snow blower has a no-load speed of 2300 rpm and can launch dry snow up to 20 ft.
This snow blower features a maximum depth capacity of 10 inches. The auger measures 20 inches wide and 10 inches high to churn up and lift snow from its path. The discharge chute rotates up to 180º to give you a lot of directional control over where you’re throwing snow.
After the job is done, you can pick up and store away the 41.9 lb. snow blower easily. It features a built-in carrying handle on the base of the unit while the fully collapsible handle folds over to provide a smaller footprint for storage.
