At the risk of repeating ourselves, the Metabo Speed-Flex Ceramic Wheel boasts an impressive combination of aggressive performance and flexibility. It’s the ceramic abrasive connected to a fiberglass backing that makes the magic.
The result is grinding performance with a fast removal rate in a relatively lightweight wheel that runs cooler with less noise and dust than comparable abrasive wheels.
It works great on hardened metals, stainless steel, high-tensile alloys, heat-sensitive metals, and much more. Some of the common tasks you might tackle with these include removing weld seams or mill-scale and beveling, among others.

Every member of the Metabo Speed-Flex Ceramic Wheel family is a 36 grit, Type 29 wheel. The differences boil down to wheel and arbor diameters. All but the 5″ size comes with either a 7/8″ or 5/8-11 arbor. Here’s what you have to choose from:
