Cordless Saw Reviews for Construction Pros With such a wide segment of tools, cordless saw reviews are a bit varied. As dust collection and vibration control improve, more and more of these products implement better safety and ergonomics. Look for that in our individual and head to head reviews.

Bosch 1664K circular saw

Bosch 18V Cordless 6-1/2″ Circular Saw Kit 1664K Preview

Bosch’s 18V Circular Saw 1664K offers a saw hook that allows convenience tool storage between cuts. A 50 degree bevel cuts nearly twice as much material than many competing models. Also, it features a rear depth adjustment to quickly match the depth of stock for more accurate cuts. The durable, impact resistant polycarbonate lower guard lowers the weight while still providing a tough material for protection. A spindle lock allows for easy blade changes. In addition, it offers a clear viewing area, which provides an unobstructed view of the cut line.

Milwaukee 2645-22 M18 Cordless Jig Saw Review

Milwaukee M18 Cordless Jigsaw Review 2645-22

A jigsaw is one of those tools that, once you get used to using it, you never want to reach for a substitute. It’s also the kind of tool where a little heft isn’t such a bad thing, and build quality really contributes to both usability and control. When Milwaukee issued its cordless version of their already robust 6268-21 jig saw, we wondered if it would hold up to the rigors of serious jobsite abuse. It turns out that the M18 Cordless Jig Saw (2645-22) is more than up to the task of taking on even larger scale jigsaw jobs.

Milwaukee 2630-22 Circular Saw Review

Having a cordless circular saw is like having the keys to your parents’ sports car and a full tank of gas when you’re 16… You can do just about anything… within reason. With the Milwaukee M18 Cordless 6.5″ Circular Saw, you get the same excitable feeling – plus it’s even got that sporty red color. This was also the first 6-1/2″ cordless circular saw we had tested that was based on a lithium-ion 18V platform – and it both worked well and lasted a long time.

Milwaukee 2620-22 M18 Sawzall Reciprocating Saw Review

Milwaukee 2620-22 M18 Sawzall Reciprocating Saw Review

The Milwaukee M18 Sawzall (2620-22) is just plain fun to use. It’s cordless, which opens up a wide range of opportunities for use, and weighs just shy of 8 lbs with the battery. The weight puts it surprisingly close to its corded brethren. What it gives up in power (and lack of orbital action) it makes up in strokes per minute. In fact, it has more SPM than the corded 11-15 amp models Milwaukee offers. Since it lacked orbital action (which reduces its effectiveness at demolition work) overall cutting progress was considerably slower than a corded or even cordless orbital model.
